Art In Hand: A Tactile Experience
curated by Mónica Ortiz-Menier
4:30 - 5:30pm Community Preview Hour*
5:30 - 9:00pm Open Gallery Crawl Hours
Mónica, an Accessibility Consultant and deaf/low-vision artist, has been working with Radiant Hall artists to help guide, inspire, and select artworks that are specifically impactful for blind or low vision audiences to experience. The works feature contrasting colors and/or dynamic textures, and will be displayed on table tops for people to touch and explore. Descriptions of each work will be printed in text and in braille and accompanied by an audio recording of the description read by the artist.
*We'll be holding a preview hour from 4:30 to 5:30pm to welcome folks to experience the show before the crawl becomes too hectic. A PSE interpreter will be present during the preview hour. Please let us know if you have any additional accessibility needs.
