Radiant Small II: Oddities + Imagination, curated by Aubrey Flavin (11 1/2), is an art show highlighting the work of our little ones and celebrating parenting artists, is back for its second iteration.
This exhibition includes a touch and feel sensory component and artworks for sale. The opening reception will include snacks, art making activities, and take home goodie bags with art supplies! Proceeds will support parent artists in need of financial aid.
A Statement from the Curator:
My name is Aubrey Flavin and I am 11 1/2. I like magical nature things, drawing, Harry Potter, witchy things, and animals (like leopards). When I make art I like to draw eyes, realistic things, cats, and weird but cool creepy stuff.
I think it’s important for kids to have spaces to share their art because then they get to evolve and learn in their own way. They also can learn other art styles and skills different than they might be used to.
I’m most excited for Radiant Small 2 because I get the opportunity to be curator and I’m able to add my whole personality to the show. Lots of kids get to show their art and see other kids art too.
