Chelsea Long

Chelsea Long is an oil painter interested in using the language of traditional devices to speak through contemporary subjects. She experiments with merging renaissance glazing techniques with modern colors in figurative and still life paintings. Her work has been shown regionally including a Dual Exhibition at Gallery one in Bloomfield, and an upcoming Solo Exhibition at UnSmoke Systems in Braddock, opening May 2019. She received a BFA, specializing in painting, as well as a BSED in 2013. She travels to museums, exhibitions, and painting workshops, including the Atelier Painting Workshop at the Long Island Academy of Art in 2018. She currently lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA.
