Hiraeth (here-yeath.)

(n.) a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return; a home which maybe never was. The nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past.

Liminality

In anthropology, liminality is the quality of ambiguity or disorientation that occurs in the middle stage of a rite of passage. The upside-down, if you will.

Hiraeth. Exploring the liminal. The oddly familiar places in between- perhaps a deep sense of discomfort to the newcomer. My work spans from the acceptance of an impermanent existence on this plane to the comforting, yet unsettling vibrations of nostalgia. The ghosts of our pasts, lovingly haunting us as we navigate existence. The various rituals we engage in to maintain stability; disrupted.

White noise; a touch of serenity.
