Dakota Garilli

Dakota Garilli is a poet, essayist, and writing instructor who has taught in a variety of settings, including Chatham University, the Environmental Charter School, and the Allegheny County Jail. His work focuses on blending pop culture, Catholic and Greek myth, instances of the historical Other, and meditations on American suburbia to explore the contemporary queer experience. Dakota is a founding and nonfiction editor at IDK Magazine and has also been an editor with The Fourth River, most recently for their online Queering Nature issue. His work has been featured in Weave Magazine, The Good Men Project, and Two Hawks Quarterly.
