Kyle Anger is a Pittsburgh transplant originating from northeast Connecticut. He creates intensely layered intuitive abstractions utilizing a wide range of 2D materials. His current medium of choice is encaustic, or painting with molten wax. Due to his love of nature, biological forms, and experimentation with materials his work evolves into dynamic amalgamations of internal and external life.

He earned his BFA in painting from The Maryland Institute College of Art in 2009 and his MFA in Painting from Boston University in 2012.
