Rebecca Harrison

Rebecca Harrison is a fiber artist and maker. She uses embroidery, natural dye, knitting, and screen printing to make functional artifacts that document relationships- relationships between land, people, folklore, and culture. Upon graduating with a BFA in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2014, she moved back to Pittsburgh where she has been making things and teaching people how to make things.

She has taught classes and workshops in a range of settings, including PALS co-op for homeschooled children, the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, Phipps Conservatory, Steel City Fiber Collective, St. Vincent College, and Carlow University as an adjunct professor in the art department in Fall 2016. Rebecca has also exhibited at Handmade Arcade under the name RH Fibers and Goldenrod Fiber Co. In 2016, she worked with Hatch Arts Collective as the costume designer for a play about fracking in Southwestern PA. Currently, Rebecca is interested in reviving and renewing textiles, as well as exploring the wonders and capabilities of plants.
