August Group Critique

Critiques provide an opportunity for artists to receive feedback in a group setting. Common practice in art schools, “crits” are a way for students to share their work with each other and grow and evolve their practice. Radiant Hall’s Group Critiques are designed to give artists access to valuable feedback from peers and professionals outside of an academic institution. This program is open to all types of artists and creatives, no art education experience necessary.

Space is limited to 10 artists/10 minutes each. Anyone is welcome to sign up for a critique slot - first come first serve. Bring physical work or a laptop to share digital pieces. There will be nails/tacks available to hang up works during the critique.

Guest Critic: Chelsea Schilling

Chelsea earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Temple University Tyler School of Art in 2014. She has held positions working in Philadelphia based art galleries as well as being involved in various art exhibitions. In 2016, she had moved back to Pittsburgh where she co-opened .5 Gallery in Etna. She wanted to open a creative space in her local neighborhood that showcased local artists. In doing so, Chelsea came to realize that Pittsburgh is a geographically restrictive city that limits the residents of various neighborhoods from regular interaction. Means of transportation is a factor in attending an event outside their community. She left .5 Gallery in December 2018 to open Roadkill Gallery. Chelsea also has been curating exhibitions at Scratch and Co. and other local Pittsburgh Spots.
