Ashley Hickey Flavin

Ashley J. Hickey Flavin is a sculptor and painter residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her work focuses on the emotion, color, and texture of nature, and the interrelationship between humans and the environment. She uses a variety of mediums to create abstract and conceptual pieces; natural materials such as moss, clay and wood, gypsum hand castings, and mixed media painting. Her creative practice also embraces gardening, which further expands the environmental themes in her art.

Ashley received her BFA in sculpture and drawing from California University of Pennsylvania in 2011 and has participated in over a dozen group shows in the Pittsburgh area, as well as three solo exhibitions. She has served on the board and as president of Pittsburgh's Society of Sculptors, has been a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, and currently works from her studio space at Radiant Hall.
