Autumn Ghubril

My name is Autumn Ghubril, and I am an artist and an educator. I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, and have been attracted to both art and teaching since childhood. Upon graduating from high school, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in education, convinced that I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in art education, where I earned a scholarship for having a strong portfolio of art (Simeone and Elizabeth Gallu Award). Subsequent to graduation, I went on to teach art in New York City and Pittsburgh while earning an M.A. degree from New York University. In 2015, I left teaching full-time in pursuit of a full-time art career, primarily oil painting.
